Currently, the racers are trying to get a little shut-eye in the back of the car before they begin their race at 12:00 midnight, Saturday May 23, 2026. I’m not sure how much rest they’ll actually tuck in though because the air is muggy, and the car next to us is blaring their music. After first declining the earplugs I brought for them, Tad & dad swallowed a bite of manliness and accepted the florescent orange silicon nuggets of auditory bliss. I hear snoring behind me…I can’t tell from whom…so at least one of them has finally fallen asleep.
